This notice explains what personal data Ultra Running Software processes on ultrarunningsoftware.com and in our products Helpino and Nestolino, and why. It follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

Who is responsible

Visiting our websites

When you open one of our pages, the server records technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, the time and your browser type. We use it only to run the sites securely and to count visits. We set no tracking or advertising cookies and use no analytics services. On the Helpino and Nestolino servers these logs are deleted after 14 days; our web host Infomaniak keeps its own access logs for a limited period. To count visits to ultrarunningsoftware.com, each page also sends a short request to our Helpino server. From the IP address we only work out the country and, in Switzerland, the canton, with a database on our own server, and keep only the totals.

ultrarunningsoftware.com loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers when you open it.

Using Helpino or Nestolino

When you create an account we store what you enter: your name, email address, password (only as a secure hash) and the content you add, such as tasks and messages in Helpino, or children's details, posts, photos and messages in Nestolino. We use this data only to provide the service to you and the people you share it with. We do not sell it or use it for advertising.

Nestolino handles information about children. It is visible only to the staff of the Kita, playgroup or family association and the parents it gives access to.

For the data about children, families and staff that a daycare enters in Nestolino, the daycare is the controller and we process it only on its behalf, under the data processing agreement in part C of the Nestolino terms of use. It is stored in Switzerland, used for nothing else (no advertising, no sale, no AI training) and deleted at the latest 90 days after the daycare's account is locked. Questions about this data are best sent to the daycare; we help it answer them.

In Helpino, your name, town, profile text, what you offer as a helper and the reviews about you are public, so neighbours can find you; your email address stays private. If you post for someone else, their name and phone number are shown only to the helper you choose. Helpers aged 14 to 17 give a birth year and the name of a parent or guardian who agrees. When you sign up we record that you accepted the terms of use and when. Messages are visible only to the two people in the conversation. You can delete your Helpino profile yourself at any time (Profile › Delete my profile). We then delete your name, email address, password and profile details; past conversations and reviews stay visible to the other person, shown as "Deleted member" without your name.

Service providers

• Infomaniak (Switzerland) hosts our websites, servers, databases and email.
• Stripe processes subscription payments for Nestolino and, once switched on, payments and payouts in Helpino. Card and bank details go directly to Stripe and never reach our servers.
• Push notifications in Nestolino are delivered through your browser's or phone's push service (for example Apple or Google).
• We send service emails, such as invitations, password resets and notices about new messages or other activity in your account, through our email provider. Notices never contain the messages themselves and can be turned off in the app.

Some of these providers may process data outside Switzerland, in countries with adequate data protection or under standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep data

Account data is kept for as long as your account exists. When you or your organisation close an account, we delete the data, except where the law requires us to keep it longer (for example invoices).

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and receive a copy. Write to info@ultrarunningsoftware.ch. You can also contact the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Changes

We update this notice when our services change. Last updated: 13 October 2026.
